Lost in Translation

China / / 00:02:52 min

Lost in Translation is a visually artistic film that explores three untranslatable words from different cultures: Mångata (Swedish), Gluggaveður (Icelandic), and Saudade (Portuguese). - Mångata: The road-like reflection of moonlight on water. - Gluggaveður: Weather that looks nice outside but is actually cold or windy and is best enjoyed from indoors. - Saudade: A feeling of longing, melancholy, or nostalgia. These words, which lack direct translations into other languages, are commonly referred to as "untranslatable words." Through visual effects and an immersive narrative, Lost in Translation invites audiences to experience the beauty and depth of language, offering a perspective on bridging cultural and linguistic diversity.
