Marie finds herself in a desperate situation while driving on the highway and needing to urgently use the toilet. To her dismay, the toilet at the rest stop is out of order. What follows is a surreal and increasingly absurd journey through a toxic male-dominated environment, leading to a shocking and violent conclusion. Lena Fakler

Lena Fakler, born and grew up in Swabia, Germany, starts writing in order to fight the provincial boredom. After several internships (media and film) she studies media, culture and German literature. Finishing her studies with her bachelor's thesis concerning German Quality TV, she moves to Hamburg and works as a freelance writer. 2016 - 2018 she studies film, and script writing, at Hamburg Media School. During her studies, she develops the concept for a dystopian series and writes the scripts for five short movies which were internationally screened at film festivals. Her first feature-length film AM ENDE DER WORTE premiers at Hofer Filmtage and is currently nominated for Grimme Preis. Her Tatort: SCHATTENLEBEN is screened in 2022.
