Elena Wiener, Josefine Maier

Elena Wiener studied art history at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology before pursuing a degree in film and design at the University of Wuppertal. Her graduation film was shown at several renowned festivals and won several awards. Her work challenges societal structures and engages with themes of politics, identity, and gender dynamics. Josefine Maier studied architecture and digital games. She developed some video games and ended up in a broad field of work that also includes children's book illustration and 2D animation. In her work she mostly mixes analogue and digital drawing techniques in order to create exciting new works through these creative experiments. In 2024 the two founded Studio Zweisiedlerkrebs — a creative studio focused on audiovisual and interactive storytelling. Both live and work in Cologne.
