Caroline Weller

Caroline Weller grew up in a small town in the Rhineland and began documenting her life on film at the age of 14. After wrapping up high school, she studied Communication Design. During her studies, she worked as an editor, took her first steps in advertising, and developed formats for television. In 2017, she directed for the first time and discovered her true passion. She went on to direct commercials for several years before embarking on a journey to find her own cinematic voice. As a feminist, she critically examines the role of women in both advertising and society. Her first short film, A Woman Gets Ready, explores exactly this theme and marks her debut in narrative filmmaking.
