Sonya, a young woman on the verge of leaving her husband and son, witnesses a couple arguing. When the man later sits beside her, she recognizes him as Andriy — her former classmate and teenage bully. He doesn’t recognize her, and Sonya tries to use this to her advantage, but everything quickly spirals out of control.

Dariy Shevchuk

Dariy Shevchuk (b. 2001, Kyiv, Ukraine) is a film director. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Fiction Film Directing (2022) from the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University, where he studied from 2019 to 2022. During his studies, Shevchuk directed more than ten student films. His short film Fear at Night (2021) was nominated for four film festivals and reached the quarterfinals of the competition at the WideScreen Film & Music Video Festival. He also worked as a film editor on the television series The Bell Ringer 2, broadcast on the 2x2 TV channel. His short film This Is My Bench! (2026) marks his debut work produced outside the university context. From 2022 to 2024, Shevchuk was the organizer of the annual short film festival Svoimy Slovamy (“In Our Own Words”) in Kyiv, which screened over 50 short films and attracted more than 2,000 visitors.
