Gloria, an Oriental Dance teacher, has spent her entire life hearing through only one ear. It was never a problem… until silence takes over completely. Diagnosed with profound bilateral hearing loss, she begins to lose not only sound, but also the pillars that supported her daily life: music, teaching, and confidence in her own philosophy of life. Through a sensory approach—where sound appears, disappears, and fragments—the film follows Gloria as she faces an irreversible decision: whether or not to undergo a cochlear implant. Writer and director of independent documentary short films. Born in Argentina, she has been residing in Spain since 2002 and in Valencia since 2015. Recent projects: 2025 Wrote, directed, and produced, in collaboration with Gloria Luis Alba, the short documentary A Simple Philosophy, scheduled for release in 2026. 2023 Wrote, directed, and produced "What's in a Name?" – a short documentary – selected and awarded at festivals. https://rulilevin.carrd.co/#wian 2018 Produced and directed the short film "Seen/Unseen" by the Alumbradoras group, exploring the concepts of female visibility and invisibility and their sociocultural implications.
