The film is set in Westphalia and tells the story of 17-year-old Paula, who, in her search for security, fights for her family's farm and the life of her comatose father. This production is my debut film, also shot in Westphalia and completed in 2024 at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. We received local support from, among others, the LWL Cultural Foundation and the Westphalian Provincial Insurance Company, and were advised by the Warendorf Machinery Ring. The film premiered at the 58th Hof International Film Festival in October 2024 and won first prize in the Westphalia Connection category at the Münster Film Festival in 2025.

Film maker
Anna Lena Höhne

Anna Lena Höhne, born in 1997, made her first short films whilst still at school. From 2018 to 2024, she studied film, specialising in directing, at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Her graduation film, *Viel Nebel im November*, premiered at the 58th International Hof Film Festival and won the Westfalen-Connection category at the 21st Münster Film Festival. Anna Lena specialises in filming with children, a subject on which she wrote a handbook as part of her bachelor’s thesis. She also works regularly as a first and second assistant director.
