Rita and Paul are struggling with the expectations they place on each other in their relationship. One night in their bedroom both try to play their parts, but end up grappling with power imbalance and miscommunication. Pressure Area studies the unspoken rules of heterosexual relationships and how they invade the most intimate spaces.

Angela Regius

Angela Regius is a filmmaker and author from Frankfurt, Germany. She studied Creative Writing at the Institute for Literature in Hildesheim and has won several prizes for her literary work. During her studies in Hildesheim, she had first touchpoints with multimedia work and discovered her passion for filmmaking. Narrative film, essay films and video installations are all part of her portfolio. She is a participant of MASO #1 Short Film Training Program by IDM Südtirol with her short film project "On Parting" (WT). In 2025, she will start studying directing at the University of Television and Film in Munich. She is part of the Frankfurt-based Bildsturz film collective and currently a member of the board.
