Film maker
Steve Dix

Steve Dix comes from the small town of Rugeley near Birmingham – a place that was once home to both J.R.R. Tolkien and the notorious serial killer William Palmer. At school, he was told he would never learn German – and that people from Rugeley don’t make it in the film industry. In 1999, he moved to Cologne and became a German citizen. He has appeared, among other roles, as a pub landlord in ZDF’s Dresden and as a zeppelin inspector in RTL’s Hindenburg, where he wished Hannes Jaenicke a “Guten Flug!” and stamped a ticket. Steve also performs stand-up comedy and improvisational theatre, and has appeared twice on NightWash. His hobbies include painting, drawing, and proving his former teachers spectacularly wrong.
