Genís goes along with his older brother Martí to spend the afternoon with their friends, a group of teenagers from a small inland town. After being the victims of abuse by the group of the older generation, Martí’s group leaves the town, prepared to make mischief in a nearby farmhouse. There, they discover a nest of chicks, but things go wrong, and Genís discovers a different attitude from his brother.

Valèria Cuní (Barcelona, Spain, 01/30/2000). Graduated from the Bachelor’s Degree in Cinematography at the Catalonia School of Film and Audiovisuals (ESCAC) and currently studying the Master’s Degree in Film Direction. She is director and screenwriter of short films which feature child and adolescent protagonists facing the loss of their innocence. She also creates experimental pieces, and her video art has received national and international recognition. “The Nest” (original title “Niuada”) is her fifth short film as a director, after “Petites Morts” (2022), “Pas A Dos” (2021), “El Milagro de Paula” (2020) and “Amada Amanda” (2019).
