Pedro Estepa Menéndez

Pedro Estepa Menéndez (Madrid, Spain, 08/10/1985). Filmmaker, screenwriter and producer. After getting a BA in Audio-visual Communication from CEU San Pablo University in Madrid, and studying Comedy Scriptwriting at the International School of Film and Television in Cuba (EICTV), his professional career has focused on television and film. Full Member of the Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences of Spain. He was assistant director of the Mexican feature film, “Pastorela”, winner of seven Ariel awards. Since 2008, he has directed several short films. He was chairman of the Platform of New Directors, and coordinator at the Madrid Film Festival. “Bienvenido Mr. Heston” (2016) was his first feature documentary. “Sole” is his sixth short film as a director, after “Deep Soria” (2021), “Historia de tres décadas. Colegio Mayor Universitario San Pablo” (2017), “Todos mis vecinos son inmigrantes” (2011), “Regeneración” (2011) and “As Time Goes By…” (2008).
