Ani Mrelashvili
Ani Mrelashvili was born in 1995 and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia. At the age of 18 she moved to Germany and studied Comparative Literature at the University of Berlin (FU Berlin). At the same time, she worked on various film sets and started to realize her own short film projects. Since 2020 she has been studying Directing at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. Her short documentary "1 Kilo - 3 Euro", which is publicly available at the streaming platform of The New Yorker Documentary, premiered at the renowned Sheffield DocFest in June 2022 and was shown at numerous other film festivals since then. Her latest film "trains passing" was shortlisted for the German Short Film Award 2023.
