Kumaran Herold, Dorothea Kuenzig

Kumaran Herold, born in 1973, is a filmmaker who hails from both Sri Lanka and Germany. His passion for the craft began during his high school years, and he kick-started his film career as a camera assistant. During his free time, he ventured into creating short films, impressing the jurors at the esteemed Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Throughout his studies, Herold seized the opportunity to explore various genres, ranging from narrative films to the art of pixilation. After graduating in 2004, he shifted his focus primarily towards advertising, corporate projects, and documentary filmmaking. Currently based in Munich, Herold continues to bring his expertise and creative vision to these diverse realms of filmmaking.
