Arne Körner

Born in 1986 in Hamburg, Germany, he embarked on his creative journey after completing an apprenticeship as a baker. He pursued his passion for filmmaking under the mentorship of acclaimed director Wim Wenders at the "Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg" and further honed his skills at the "École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts" in Paris. Additionally, he had the privilege of graduating from the prestigious "Rogue Film School" led by the renowned filmmaker Werner Herzog. Körner's exceptional talent has been recognized through the screening of his short films at over 100 national and international festivals, where they have garnered numerous awards. Many of his works are proudly represented by the esteemed French distribution company Light Cone, and his films are available on prominent Video on Demand platforms such as realeyz.de. In a significant milestone, Körner's debut feature film, titled "The Bicycle," had its world premiere at the esteemed Festival des Films du Monde de Montréal, where it received the distinguished Prix du Jury. Following its success, the film saw a nationwide release in German cinemas in January 2017. Continuing his creative journey, Körner's latest feature film, "Gasman," made its premiere at the 41st Cairo International Film Festival and was subsequently released in cinemas across the country in 2021, captivating audiences with his compelling storytelling and artistic vision.
