Well-crafted pop songs meet cleverly thought-out arrangements in the Jasper Klein Trio. Jasper Klein tells trenchantly and in a heartfelt, honest way about the in-between and the inner human. His trio also consists of the multi-instrumentalists Dominik and Hendrik, with whom he studies music at the HfM Detmold. With the two of them, his songs sometimes shine supported by cajon, saxophone, electric piano and bass, sometimes they sparkle with only a sheet of paper as accompaniment.
With an infectious joy of playing, the musicians look far beyond the realm of singer/songwriter and combine clever German lyrics with influences from groovy funk, jazz and indie pop.
