Over fifty animators from nineteen countries collaborated to support Belarusians in their peaceful protests for fair elections and freedom. The animators offered their interpretation of the recent events in Belarus, creating the animated chronicles of these dramatic events. The white-red-white flag is a historical symbol of Belarus and has become a symbol of peace, protest, and hope for the people of Belarus.

Yulia Ruditskaya is an award-winning director, animator, and artist. Initially from Minsk, Belarus, Yulia continues her journey as a visual storyteller in New York. As a multidisciplinary artist, Yulia came up with the concept for this project, and together with 50 other directors - animators, they created the collaborative project “Animators for Belarus” to support Belarusians in the unprecedented dramatic events of 2020.
